Awareness Day Joins AIDS.gov Site

AIDS.gov listed HIV Long-Term Survivors Awareness Day to the list of Awareness Days The 2016 theme is “Moving Forward Together”.
Click here to see the page. Annoyingly they seem reluctant to list Let’s Kick ASS as the originator and lead sponsor of the day. The reduced us to “LKA” Oh well some battles are not worth it. It was hard enough getting them to list the day.

With this observance people across the nation join together to celebrate and honor the Long-Term Survivors of the HIV/AIDS epidemic and to raise awareness about the needs, issues and journeys of HIV Long-Term Survivors (HLTS).
In case you missed it, HLTSAD was started by Let’s Kick ASS—AIDS Survivor Syndrome based in San Francisco with thriving chapters in Portland, OR, Palm Springs, CA and Austin, TX. New chapters are being formed as we speak.
